For the second time this week a rare loggerhead sea turtle was found entangled in a fishing net along the Mumbai coast on Wednesday. A species not usually found in India, the loggerhead turtle was caught in a fisherman’s net.

In what comes as a good news to birds lovers, two eggs of the highly endangered western tragopans laid in captivity at a pheasantry in Himachal Pradesh have hatched. While announcing this development the officials said that the eggs hatched last week at the Central Zoo Authority-funded pheasantry at Sarahan, 160 km from Shimla.
